I have seen requests from $100-$250 or so per season for my kids. $350 seems a little excessive but if kids are getting jerseys with names on them etc, at least you are walking away with something they can keep.
This is pretty misleading for sports and totally wrong for activities. Sports are free but you do have to buy the gear and that can be costly depending on the sport. Even dance required the purchase of some clothing for the showcase - and dance is a for credit class. Activities all have a fee. It’s like $5 to attend most sporting events, a bit more for playoffs. Homecoming dance was about $20. I forget what prom costs. School clubs are mostly free.
