No guarantee seniors make varsity. That should not be an expectation. Especially sports with small rosters where you have a large number of athletes trying out like soccer or basketball.

At our school, my kid's less popular sport has a bit of expectation that juniors will make varsity if they played jv 2 years. Not set in stone, but it typically happens even for slightly weaker juniors.

Not in my kids’ sport and school and gender, but it varies team to team. Varsity is extremely competitive even for seniors at some schools, and rosters have size limits.

No one can tell you that. Sometimes coaches change and they have a different philosophy. A few years ago DC's friend was on JV and got cut I think it was senior year because they didn't make varsity.

Do seniors automatically make varsity. At my DDs school, that seems to be the case. If a JV player played up end of season, will they automatically make V this year?
