You can still receive SS to a US bank account like Schwab (which due to easy intl use, most retirees use) and for Medicare, you should plan on picking a NON-Advantage supplement and a cheap part D plan as soon as you turn 65 and plan on paying monthly for that and your part D and the hospital part (so about $400 per person per month) while you live overseas to keep access to less expensive healthcare in the US since you never know if/when you may need or choose to return. Think of it as life insurance that you'll pay until you die.
Have fun overseas- it's my dream but my DH was recently dx with a chronic illness that makes that dream impossible while he's still alive.
