IBM did this decades ago—they would offer you a relo to someplace they knew you didn’t want to go, or a severance package.

I am curious about Meta, will low perf reviews really cause people to leave? It’s such a plum job even if you are marked as “needs improvement” no idea why not to wait for being laid off? Or do they plan to fire for cause?
