MCPS does NOT need to make such a big deal out of the family life curriculum. It is so unnecessary. I think parents stress out more because MCPS makes it out to be such a big deal when the curriculum is the bare minimum about changes that happen in adolescent bodies.

I went to my kids (a bunch of years back). There were 3 teachers and 2 parents there. It was not very useful but I believe they said it was focused on ones own body (puberty etc) rather than interactions between bodies (that part is in middle school).

My kid’s ES had this meeting for 5th grade parents. I planned to go, but couldn’t. Im pretty sure MCPS uses the same slides..Can anybody share slide or info about the topic?
