It is high in saturated fat but it is debatable whether it’s bad for you. Definitely fine for occasional cooking. I wouldn’t use it for everything. It’s very rich and gives a butter like quality so it’s great for baking.

I use butter plenty too. I prefer coconut oil in muffins and it is also great in pancakes. Both are good but the op asked about oils
I think it’s actually a little better than butter for pancakes because of the smoke point. I don’t know where to come down o the health issues versus butter but I figure it’s a different kind of bad so I might as well hedge my bets sometimes, since I eat a lot of butter otherwise.
