Not PP but I has an upper bleph from Dr. Bair 2 years ago. Results are excellent, very natural. Not everyone noticed but those who did said I looked younger but they couldn’t tell why. She’s a bit conservative and I wish she’d done a tiny bit more but you don’t need to worry about her overdoing it. There’s really no downtime if you don’t care about being seen. You need to ice frequently the first couple of days but I worked (from home) even the day of. If you follow all the instructions and sleep upright (I managed it for 2 nights) you should have minimal bruising and swelling. I had very little but I get the sense that tendency to bruise or swell varies from person to person. I know at least 5 people who used Dr B and the amount of bruising differed but none of us had a lot. The main thing that held me back from reentering society was the stitches. I think those came out day 6 or 7 and they were somewhat visible and irritating until removed. Once they were out I was good to go and bruising was resolved. No scar but if you had one it would be in the crease. I 100% recommend it.

Does anyone know if wrinkles under eyes are taken care of during a facelift or if that requires lower bletho? I'll probably get a facelift within the next couple of years and don't want to get bletho sooner if would turn out to be redundant.

Not PP but I had lower two months ago, no scaring as unconscionable was inside. Downtime was 4 days. I moved about lightly earlier than that but would get tired. I looked terrible with bad bruising for around 7-8 days. By days 10-11 bruising was gone. Pain was not bad just took Tylenol. I like the results though I do now have under eye circles, but I consider them much less unsightly than the bags.

Right, I get that. OP here. And that is why I am interested in the cost of lower. Seems a waste to do one and not the other. Doing both would significantly improve my looks. I am 47 and look 55.

Insurance will only cover upper, since that is where the "can't see because of the drooping upper lids" problem comes from. The lower won't be covered, since it's cosmetic.

You want an ocular plastic surgeon - my eye dr said everyone goes to the same doctor in reston dr Rostami / I haven’t done it yet

I don’t have an eye doctor. I have perfect vision except that my eyelids are now drooping into my peripheral.

Also interested in cost of lower bleph. I am thinking upper will likely be covered by insurance as it is starting to affect my vision.
