exactly! it's kind of like a joke in sicily that olive oil will cure what ails ya. constipation, diarrhea, earache, tummy ache, hangover, doesn't matter, take a spoonful of olive oil!

I guess there was a lot lost in translation with the starbucks ceo. i can't blame the olive oil ceo, of course he wants to sell his product. And who can blame him? Batti lu ferru mentri è càudu. (Strike while the iron is hot.)

The name sounds like those gross weight loss potato chips from the 1990s. Olean I think.

Agree, the name reminds me of the Olestra debacle and diarrhea. Wondering if the Starbucks marketing team was too young to know of the association. May be bsd for sales if other people also think it is using th infamous diarrhea ingredient.

I think it is hilarious that Sixbucks is even in Italy. It’s like when Dominoes tried it there. WTF.

Sixbucks is terrible. Unless you like burnt coffee served by exploited employees of a union-buster

To me, I don’t care for half & half in my coffee due to the mouth feel. The thought of olive oil in coffee makes me cringe.

Starbucks coffee is not yummy and the only thing good about it is that it has caffeine.

Has anyone heard of this new unholy alliance? Would you drink it?

Apparently the CEO of Starbucks was holidaying in Sicily. When he saw the sicilians drinking their olive oil shots at the bar, followed by a little cup of espresso, he mused, "what if we made it the same drink?" And tasked his drink creators with making it happen.
