Drink coffee with a tiny bit of cream when I first get up around 7. Eat lunch around 2 (I do IF). Works for me!

I drink coffee first thing with a bit of oat milk creamer.

I used to wait, but not I prefer it even before exercise. Now that I WFH after the pandemic I prefer gentler mornings with coffee and a long exercise walk a bit later in the morning.

I do 1 cup regular the decaf for the rest of the day (sometimes I don't get beyond that one cup, other times I have 4 decafs).

I have coffee first thing in the morning. But breakfast is within an hour though, sometimes sooner. I’m not overweight, heathy and feel good. I have no reason to believe anything is abnormal with my cortisol or hormones

I love my Nespresso latte in the morning. I take thyroid replacement medication, so I have wait 60 minutes to drink it. It’s the most difficult hour of the day lol.

I have milky coffee first thing in the morning. I live for it. It brings me clarity and joy.

dos it matter if it is caffeinated or decaf?

I've been doing this for years. My hormone levels are even, and cortisol levels are low. It has never bothered my stomach. My morning is as follows: wake up 6am. Coffee + cream - 1 cup. Shower. Gym. Errands. Home around 10:30 - breakfast.

I used to drink black coffee first thing in the morning but it started to upset my stomach. And I stopped for a bit. Now I drink only cold brew and I drink it with my breakfast. So technically still on an empty stomach but not for long. I've had no issues then.

If the acid doesn't bother you I'm sure it's fine. Everything is bad for our hormones. Stressing about this surely isn't helpful. Drink the coffee if you enjoy it

I mean nothing is good for females in terms of cortisol and hormones so I would put this in the context of your broader health and happiness.
