I cook with Trader Joe’s ghee, is that close enough?

Yes, you can cook with it, spread it on paranthas and roti, drizzle it on your dals. Mmmm.

It’s a myth that coconut oil is good for you: https://www.mayoclinic.org/dont-get-tricked-by-these-3-heart-health-myths/art-20390070

I make it myself, and I do cook with it, but not for everything. Ghee has a particular taste, and isn't suitable for every application.

It tastes delightful and I would use more of it than I do, but it's extraordinarily expensive where I live.

Ghee is saturated fat, so it is not healthier than many vegetable oils. It imparts a delicious flavor though! You can add a small drizzle to top a dish for the taste.

Ghee is clarified butter. No. It is not healthier than cooking in olive oil. It is certainly better than cooking in Crisco.

I use Amul Ghee (Indian Ghee) that comes in a tin and is available in Indian grocery stores.

I love the aroma of ghee so I usually add a bit to the olive oil while cooking.

Assuming I don’t drown my food in ghee, is it healthier to cook with ghee compared regular oil?
