Visiting Angels does finger printed background checks, drug testing and they are bonded.

We have had a good experience with Visiting Angels, another franchise.

Some people are better than others but none have been bad and you can always ask not to use a particular person again. They are all different franchises, so you have to look at the reviews of the one near your parent. We've have used them since Christmastime.

Thanks so much. We need care in NJ

It’s been a great experience so far (we are only six weeks in).

This, but if your parent is declining start looking into a facility. It's highly stressful getting the call that someone didn't show, or mom hates being alone with this one or mom thinks that one is stealing or whatever and they get so lonely just hanging out with that one person all the time.

Plus, with care.com I think they do background check, but not much else. The person needs to bonded and insured.

Thank you very much. This is all good advice, we are just starting this journey

Any leads on this please, ideally a web based company so we can screen and interview candidates from out of state. Elder care is needed for parents in NJ

Thank you
