Hogan is a Republican and an incompetent one at that. I also think given what has happened with the Purple Line that he is not especially good at getting things done.

I'm the moderate independent from earlier. This could also be an argument against voting for moderate Democrats, who are obliged to work with and, indeed, make concessions to the progressive wing of their own party. I deeply regret that there are extremes influencing either party, but that's the reality. We should instead be supporting centrists on both sides. That's the only sensible way forward.

You don’t seem very bright. Deciding not to vote for someone because you believe they will align with a party that has a very real pattern of oppressive policies is not about hate or exclusion. Deciding to enact policies and laws that hurt people simply because of who they love or that disproportionately impact groups of poor, black/brown people? That’s about hate and exclusion. And that is what PP is trying to avoid.

Moderate independent DC mom here. I would totally vote for Hogan.

It’s important to keep in mind that there were only two groups of people in Maryland that don’t like Hogan, the liberal extremists and Trumpists. Together, both groups totaled less than a third of Maryland registered voters.

You can see why everyone who is not a partisan extremist has a favorable impression of the guy. I wish him the best.

Nope, not a chance. I watched him sit back on his fat a... for the second term doing nothing, and I mean nothing to help with crime and filth that was growing in Maryland. Gangs and all. Oh he made good speeches and threw money at stuff, but he was useless on so many important issues, especially going into impoverished neighborhoods and trying to make a difference. I mean for goodness sake, look at the Baltimore school reading reports that came out this week, that was on his watch. He showed up, made a lot of speeches, reminded us his wife is Asian but let those poor kids down time and time again. He could have changed this, he could have stepped in, but did not want to be the white guy taking on black communities. The end result, generation of children who cannot read or write and will drop off. Thanks Larry. You are useless as evidenced by your desire to be on any ticket, and not get kicked out of politics. Doing late shows and parading around as America's favorite governor really went to his head and communities suffered immeasurably because of it.
