Subject: What does music and art teacher teach at ES/MS in school?
So far my 2nf grader has done water coloring, drawing and clay as well as torn paper art. I haven't seen any origami or glass

I would ask the teacher. As others have said, everyone is different.
Mine learned the most of reading music in orch/band in ES and MS. But, the chorus teachers in both schools did some too.
One of mine took 8th grade art. It was largely drawing, painting collage. I don't think any clay work. Good artistic content, though. Again, very much depends on the teacher.
So, ask. Spend a little time crafting a thoughtful email, but don't shy away.

Different teachers teach different things. Few teach music reading to ES kids, though.
We have been at 2 different ES, and both included music reading in the general music classes

I don't think it would be weird at all. I would go ahead and email them your questions, as they are probably the only ones who can provide the answers.

My child did not take any art in MS but at their school there is a ceramics option and there was a drawing option and a few more.

Why would it be weird to ask? They have a curriculum. The invidual assignments differs from school to school, but there are skills that all students in those courses are supposed to learn.
