+1 Seriously - study the manual. My kids failed the first time because they got perfect scores on the app and didn't study the manual enough. Every time we have been at the MVA there are kids failing the permit test. It's fine to use an app, but they need to study the manual.

It is common knowledge if you have been driving for 30y. It is not common knowledge for new drivers.

I don't remember the questions but I can tell you the subject matter. One was the blood alcohol level when you are considered DUI (.08). The other involved what to do when there are reversible lanes (I remember that I would have probably gotten that question wrong, because I would have said to obey overhead signs and that wasn't the answer). Sometimes, it's the choices given that trip kids up.

Its stupid easy. My kid read the mva literature about it 30min while we waited.
I have also heard of kids failing numerous times which is really shocking. Its mostly common knowledge/sense.

Take the class and then take the permit test. It was the best prep and they knew the information when they started behind the wheel.
