The deadline is tomorrow, the 17th. What the email says is that if a response is not recorded by the 18th the offer will be removed. It also mistakenly says Friday the 18th, but the meaning is clear. It’s also been clear in the offer emails that it’s the 17th. Plus the magnet coordinator at at least one of the accepted student open houses we attended said that they actually don’t remove the offer for a few days after the deadline until they have made an effort to reach you directly if you haven’t responded at all.

MCPS needs to clarify the deadline.

We got it too but were waitlisted. Weird as it doesn't specify what.

We got this too - I am assuming it is a glitch but did email the contact listed in case it’s not.

This reminds me how we received an email after the application deadline saying an application had been started but not submitted. Then we received a follow up email saying oops, ignore that email, we have your child's application. What's going on in that office?

Also received it.

FWIW, there is also at date conflict in the email -- two different deadlines. Sloppy.

That's a separate google form, it's not the form being linked to in this email.

You may need to indicate that you are interested in remaining in the wait pool…

Also got this email and thought it must be a mistake since our child wasn't selected for any programs, only waitpooled for one.

We got this email too. My kid is in the wait pool in a program and I thought maybe they got out of the wait pool. It seemed unlikely tho since I knew a response to accept or decline programs wasn’t even due until tomorrow.

OP here. Nope, DC was “not selected” — no wait pool. I’m expecting another email essentially saying oops and your kid is still rejected.

Was your child placed in the waitpool? The email may have been sent in error, but you have nothing to lose by replying that your dc is still interested.

My DC applied to one magnet program and was not selected. I just got an email saying that they were invited to one or more programs and I need to respond by tomorrow. I assume this is an email glitch and am wondering if anyone else whose kid was rejected got this email.
