We have kids and with the cost of college rising we just don't have enough. And travel prices are so expensive now. I don't know how people do it. My husband and I both work tirelessly and still can't get by.
This is my wife(maybe it's you, honey?)...
Drives me nuts. It's not in our budget, but thanks to her proclivity with social media, she sees it all the time and then I get to hear about it.
Just got to hear about some friends that were in Colorado skiing. She had this idea that we'd galavant off somewhere over this coming long holiday weekend....
I'm looking forward to hearing about all the places people will be going and bragging about in social media over spring break in a couple of weeks.
Why torture yourself engaging with and fussing over what other people are doing? I don't get it.

For 2 summers we rented a $6K house with 2 other families in the outer banks, each paying $2K for the week. One of my kids still says it is his favorite vacation.
My neighborhood friends and I also try to camp one weekend a year together and the kids also have a blast. It is not necessarily my cup of tea but I am willing to do it once a year.
I would try to focus on gratitude for all the things you do have. Maybe unfollow people on social media who post travel posts alot so that you don't get triggered.
