When automobiles hit the market, there were over 100 companies making them...some were even making EVs! It's natural for the market to slim down over time.

Rivian is fine. They have an enormous amount of money in the bank and are delivering more vehicles than ever before. They still have the 100,000 unit order from Amazon.

They lose tons of money, iirc. You'd have to be insane to buy an EV from one of these kinds of small ev companies. If they go under and your car needs to be fixed, you'll be screwed.
