I sent her for two weeks when she was 6 months old. She was taught a lot in that time. Now she walks great on a leash as well as other basic commands. We reinforce everything which is why she is still so well behaved a few years later. People ask me the name of the trainer a lot.

We've sent all three of our dogs to different board and train trainers and none of them used anything but positive rewards.

Puppies require a lot of love & patience. Do not entrust another with your puppy.

DC Dog Wizard, but I wouldn't start with a puppy for a board and train. I'd do group or private lessons first, then consider the board and train when they hit adolescence and act like they've forgotten everything you've spent months working on. There are follow up sessions with the trainer and group classes every Saturday for consistent reinforcement.

I would suggest that you never use the term "on boarding" in regard to a puppy. Or actually anytime at all.

You will get the best results if you work with a trainer yourself rather than sending your dog to a program.
