Huh? I pull over if I need to and place my order. With mobile, I can park in curbside or have my kid run in and get it without standing around waiting in the store. The downside is, of course, if they make a mistake I’m less likely to catch it before it’s too late

+1 This isn’t rocket science. Place before you go. Place in between errands when parked. Or pull over.

I guess it is to me. Pull over...where? How do you account for traffic that might force you to leave your drink sitting there for 20+ minutes after it's made?

Goodness, making mountains out of molehills!

OP is just intentionally obtuse.

I also order it extra hot just in case I’m delayed.

Even a red light light isn't long enough, and placing it at work and picking it up doesn't seem to save much time. But when I go into Starbucks or wherever, there are tons of orders waiting. Just curious what kind of lifestyle or schedule lends itself this mobile ordering.

Not sure how that doesn’t make sense to you. If you order once you get to the store you then wait 5-10 mins for the order to be made. Place it before you leave then it’s ready by the time you get there, not get there + 5-10 mins.

I guess because the nearest Starbucks to my office is 15+ minutes away.

Then maybe it doesn't make sense for you in that particular circumstance. What does this have to do with "lifestyle"?

You can set a pick up time with most apps. And even if you can’t you are still taking 15 mins to get there, then waiting in line, then waiting for it to be made. That can be another 15 mins.

I use it before I leave my last location. Your fave locations and orders are saved so you can place the order in a few clicks.
