Boll and Branch SUCKS, agreed!

I came on here to recommend the Target Threshold Performance sheets, too. I've tried Brooklinen and Parachute and prefer the Target ones. Buy the regular kind, not the organic ones.

The target threshold performance ones are great for the money. I just want something a little nicer.

I have tried many higher end sheets (Brooklinen, Parachute, The Company Store, Garnet Hill, etc.) and always wind up disappointed. There is nothing wrong with them, but they don't feel more luxurious than other brands and they don't last as long as you expect them to. For reference, I change sheets on beds once a week and usually have two sets of sheets for each bed so I can alternate (so sheets are being washed 24x a year). I do think my DH is a bit harder on bedding (things on his side of the bed start to pill faster) but not unusually so.

Last year, after a set of Parachute sheets started to fray after only a couple years of use, I gave up and bought several sets of these Target sheets: https://www.target.com/p/400-thread-count-printed-performance-sheet-set-threshold-153/-/A-14220754

They feel good to the touch -- very smooth, crisp finish but still soft. They have held up well. I do expect they will need to be replaced every few years but that's what was happening before with sheets that cost 3x or 4x as much. I like the patterns and because they are less expensive, I buy more sets and can change out patterns based on season since we use a duvet in winter but a thinner quilt in summer. I'm really happy with them and wonder why it took me so long. Are these amazing fantasy hotel quality sheets? No, but I'm guessing to get those I'd need to spend more than I'm comfortable with and I'd STILL be replacing them regularly.

So Target it is.

The bamboo sheets I've had were very soft but pilled.

I like my Brooklinen linen sheets but one pair ripped easily. However, they replaced them with no questions asked.

I love my old Coyuchi sheets but they changed them and now I’m lost.

Any recommendations for sheets that don't have the toxic anti-wrinkle chemicals in them?

I have been on the hunt for soft sheets for years, and so far have come up empty. All I can say is don't bother with Boll and Branch or Macys, which I bought after seeing recommendations here. Neither is even a little soft, and both are more on the scratchy side.

Those of you in love with amazing, life-changing sheets: DO TELL! Which sheets?

I would especially love recs for linen or really super buttery cotton.

TIA.
