Twinbrook is a great under valued neighborhood.
1) walkable 2) metro 3) near Pike and Rose 4) Wegmans coming soon at Twinbrook quarter development.
But if you are looking to tear down and build you have to do your homework.
I think you have to use the same footprint of the foundation.
Look at the house for sale on Ardennes Avenue.
why are tear-downs not allowed in Twinbrook but allowed(they can build larger footprints) in other parts of Rockville west of 355?

It's not awesome. You really want to be on the other side of 355 if possible. Or near Derwood if looking in this area.
I will say this the schools are good. RM & Julius West are fine.
I have substituted at Beale not a huge fan but it's fine.
House is not renovated great. I'd be weary of it.
OP here,
Thanks for the response, what about the Twinbrook neighborhood? but slightly east of 355?
For instance this house - https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/13010-Atlantic-Ave-Rockville-MD-20851/37105080_zpid/
NOVA resident for 15 years, not very familiar with MD, appreciate your patience!

Would this be a good investment opportunity?

Could this end up becoming a teardown neighborhood due to its proximity to DC, Bethesda?
Proximity to DC?
The Pimmit Hills of MD is Cabin John (surrounded by major roads on all sides).
This house is just freaking far in a run down neighborhood.
JW and RM are not good schools. They used to be. It’s hard to change opinions though as I’m learning on dcum. Agree with you about being on the other side of 355.Anonymous wrote:No sorry OP but that area has been the same forever. It's pretty close to commercial stuff lots of burglaries.
