There are some weird suggestions here...

Michigan, Wisconsin, UT Austin, UNC seem like good fits

Neither Berkeley nor WashU are "school spirit" type schools.

Michigan and Wisconsin would be the top two on my list for those considerations. But the list 03:36 provided is solid as well.

Berkeley, UCLA and Michigan all have among the top math and physics departments in the country. Michigan might be a really great fit. I’m not sure how hard it is to get into Berkeley and ucla out of state.

Emory is not a party school and has no D1 sports, no football team at all.

Why would anyone ever suggest Cornell for this kid?

I thought it was fun. There was good school spirit around hockey and lax. Obviously, it isn’t a SEC/Big 10 football school, but it is hard to tell from the op if that is what this kid actually wants.

Possibly Cornell. Depending on what naviance shows for her school, consider whether she would be interested in one of the ag school majors. They have Biometry and Statistics, Applied Economics, Biology & Society.

Girl
Top DC private--probably ending up with 3.85/1540
Extracurriculars: varsity sport, restaurant job, math team, STEM research internship
Math or physics major, not interested in CS or coding or engineering-think she probably wants to end up in finance or maybe medicine.
Wants a "fun" school-good school spirit.
She's a social kid -loves social media, popular culture, fashion, etc
Wants either a good college town or urban environment
Size of school doesn't matter
very hard worker but is tired of the grind that high school has been. It's one of those 4 hours of homework a night high schools.
Wants the time to actually have interests outside of academics in college.
