They want a servant. Nannies generally aren't expected to clean, organize, or cook except making lunch. Just expected to minimally pick up after kids throughout the day

So it’s notable because, you assume, it’s being dishonest about the scope. Ah.

When is this person supposed to do all those things that don't involve making sure two 8-year-olds don't kill each other?

Where does it say they’re not paying while the kids are in school? The hours include lots of time when kids would be in school.

Whether it's funny depends on how much they're paying. What did they offer as the rate OP? If it's less than $40 they are delusional.

Seriously, if I could afford it, I would love to have help with this. If I could offload some of this stuff, I’m sure I’d be better at my job & better at being a kind mom/wife/friend…like one who is better at playing board games & bonding stuff after dinner, rather than overtired cranky mom who is annoyed that she is washing applesauce out of someone’s backpack.

+1. They’re looking to outsource the mom-crap. Why is that weird?

Okay? Sounds like a normal job with a normal scope to me. And above the table.

I read one for a “mother’s helper” that was similar to that. Some people are delusional.

If they were offering $25 an hour I’d be laughing too. But there is no hourly rate. So assuming they pay well this is not a bad gig for the right person.

I mean if they are willing to pay enough…

This gave me a good laugh today:

“Seeking a Housekeeper/Nanny to provide household help and after school care for our 8-year-old girl/boy twins…35 hours a week…
The person would: Wash/put away clothes; Organize closets/cabinets; Organize kids' belongings throughout home; Vacuum; light cleaning; Prep for kids' lunches and occasional meal prep; Maintain shopping lists for grocery, house and school items; Help with school pick up and driving to/from activities; Unpack from school day/pack for next day; Watch kids after school; supervise homework and showers; Help with errands

Must be experienced driver with clean driving record + ideally a car. Pay though payroll service. Looking for Mon-Fri 11-6 or 12-7. Will do more/fewer hours/be flexible on days for the right person who really loves to organize and enjoys elementary school aged kids.”
