One of my kids also really likes hummus. She’ll dip anything in it. She’s equally obsessed with mustard and honey mustard, and likes relish.

Mine loves red pepper hummus. I thin it with a little olive oil to make it softer and saucier.

make your own cheese sauce. Do equal butter + flour in small pot, like 2 or 3 tablespoons each, stir a minute or 2, add milk and whisk often till starts bubbling, whisk in a lot of shredded cheese to taste.

Peanut butter, soy sauce, rice vinegar and sesame oil tossed on spaghetti. I would add chili garlic paste for myself but maybe not for a sensitive kiddo. I figure at least the peanut butter adds a little fat and protein.

Hidden Valley Ranch. I can’t stand it, but my three year old eats baby spinach leaves with a little ranch dip on the side with dinner every night.

My picky eater hated sauces with a burning passion. Now a relatively normal older kid, but still hates creamy, saucy, stringy, slimy food textures. If yours eats any sandwich with ketchup and salads, that’s not a picky eater.

What are your recipe for sauce/dressing that helps food to go down? Sometimes certain dressing packet from salad catch her fancy and she'd eat the salad. My guess is that they are mostly sweet and creamy.

Just want to see what you have for more healthy options.

I also use the dip method to get my super picky eater to eat finger foods. I've tried bbq sauce, seafood dipping sauce, soy sauce, tartar sauce, marinara, melted cheese. bbq and seafood sauces are the faves. You could get creative and try offering chocolate sauce for fries or plain noodles. You could try adding a little bit of cayenne pepper or lemon juice to make them interesting. Never know what will click with the picky eaters. I had one kid that wouldn't eat baby food unless cayenne pepper was stirred in. Mine have been to various specialists for all their eating problems and I've been told to ease up on the 'healthy' goal and just focus on getting them used to new things and variety and change. Healthy will come later. Creativity and thinking outside the box are key. Good luck.
