Rx by Endo. Covered by insurance as I already tried metformin and trulicity so the PA was approved.

My insurance covers Ozempic without a pre-authorization—so no need to be diabetic, and Wegovy with pre-auth if you meet criteria.

I’ve been on Mounjaro since September and my insurance does not cover it. I’ve been using the savings card while I work through the appeals process.

A lot of people are using compounding pharmacies that are mixing semiglutide (active ingredient in Wegovy/Ozempic) with vitamin B12 or something else. Many weight loss doctors will prescribe this and order from a compounding pharmacy for you. I also have a BMI of 35 and am seriously considering doing this although I think there are risks of using a compounding pharmacy but I can't afford 1,000 a month.

I’ve been reading many of the threads about semaglutides. I have a BMI of 35, and my PCP is willing to prescribe me wegovy. However, my insurance doesn’t cover obesity drugs, which I understand is not unusual. So are most of you paying the full cost of $1200-$1500/month? Even with a coupon I think it would still be over $1k for me. I’m just wondering if I’m missing something, as there seem to be quite a few people on obesity drugs in this forum. No judgment if you are paying full price, if I could swing it, I would.
