About 30-60 minutes after I wake up. I get breakfast for the kids, drink a few sips of coffee and generally have to use the bathroom at that point. Then I change out of PJs and weigh myself when I’m nude/getting changed. I find it really helps to do it every day or just about. It’s easier to see the trend rather than a fluctuation if you are tracking. I don’t stress if I forget though!

+1

This is what I do too. I know it can fluctuate daily but seeing the weekly average and trends is very helpful.

If I weigh myself it's usually in the morning before I eat or drink anything. I would only do it if I thought my weight was a little lower or higher than normal (I am almost always in a 3 or 4 pound range because my eating and exercise habits are pretty steady).

I associate daily weighing with the ED I had as a young adult and just won't do it. I lost 40 pounds during the lockdown and got on the scale maybe 5 or 6 times over 7 or 8 months.

After I wake up and go to the bathroom and before I eat or drink anything. I prefer weighing daily and looking at weekly averages. By now I understand pretty well how my own fluctuations work around my cycle and they do not bother me.

I also weigh myself right before I get in the shower. I'm not trying to lose weight and the fluctuations don't bother me, I just try to stay within a 4-5 lb range.

this, right after using the bathroom, right before I jump in the shower.

It keeps me honest. I'm down four pounds since Jan 1.

I do morning before shower. Also agree everyday is helpful to give a more accurate record over a longer period.

It doesn’t matter what time as long as it’s the same time.

First thing in the morning after peeing. I do weigh myself daily, but I'm only concerned with weekly averages, which help filter out daily fluctuations.

Same here. For me weighing daily is important to keep me on track. The normal fluctuations are helpful to see.

Don't weigh yourself every day, it's not healthy - emotionally. I know that is not what you asked.

I only weight in once a week. There is so much fluctuation throughout the week, and I'd get so discourage when I'd weigh in after a big dinner the night before. Now, I do it once a week - before I have anything to eat but preferable after a bowel movement I always have a sense of whether I'm going to weight more on how my clothes fit. I have found, for me, the once a week check in helps keep me motivated and on track.

Not sure what counts!

I’ve found not to weigh in immediately upon waking as I’m usually 1-1.5lb heavier than I am an hour or so later. Today though I’m WFH and weighed myself my usual time, about an hour after waking. Then I had breakfast and went about my morning. I was changing late after being lazy and decided to weigh in again, and was 1 whole lb lighter than I was an hour ago!

I hate to log this weight and then disappointment myself tomorrow.

When do you find you get the best, most accurate weight?
