Just assume two weeks before Labor Day and don’t plan a vacation at the end of August. Why is this hard?

No one wants this school board to create a 3 year calendar.
No one really wants them to create next year's calendar, but we are stuck with them through November.
What they need to do is give us something now to get us through the 23/24 year, then stop. Just stop.
Don't ruin another calendar year. Leave it for the next school board. Hopefully, it will contain a lot of new members and have a tiny shred of competency.

It's hard when you have to submit vacation requests months ahead of time for your job, coordinate the vacation approval week for your spouse's job, and coordinate summer camp schedule which often end a few weeks before school starts which is why families sometimes schedule vacation weeks the couple of weeks before school starts. It's ridiculous that there's no FCPS calendar despite the numerous surveys and meetings.
