Thank Mary Kadera for the increase in class sizes over the last several years, I think that was her idea in response to budget concerns. Previously APS had been preserving its smaller class sizes in relation to other school districts, but I don't think they're smaller anymore.

That's not what happened at our school. Why do you think APS is not making this information public anymore? It's so people can't see that they're overcrowding classes in violation of their max limits.

It looks like last year's was posted after Monique O'Grady asked for it. I would recommend contacting the school board about it.

They only publish this info once a year, if memory serves. They publish enrollment data monthly, but the class size pdf is just once yearly.

This document is 2 years old. My kids' APS elementary classrooms are much larger than this, and one of the grades has 1 less classroom this year.

For this school year, for grades K/1, I believe the max class size is 24; for 2/3 it is 26; and for 4/5 it is 28.

They change the max level every year. They increased it twice in a row during the pandemic but I think for this year they lowered it slightly.

They don't stay under the max anymore. There are multiple classes at our elementary that are over the "limit". They probably don't want to publicize that. I bet the school board will vote to increase class sizes this year and never admit any issues.

I think she mean MAX size .

I am not sure what you mean by "recommended class size". They have a limit on class size, which they have to stay under.

Per grade they use to report the max recommended class size in class size reports, but now I just see the actual max at each school. Anyone know where they document that policy?
