Almost the same stats. I decided my body is meant to be 142 pounds. I could stay at 137 but it takes a lot of work, and it just isn’t worth it to me. My body is awesome, even at 142, and I’m much happier.

OP again, It was my lowest weight in high school.

Why do you want to get back to a body of a child?
My lowest weigth in highschool was 125. I am 145 now and getting down to highschool weight would mean either going down to 12% bodyfat or losing a bunch of muscle, neither of which would be healthy or desirable. Maybe you need a more critical look at your goal?

Your body is telling you your goal is too low. Enjoy some extra food and enjoy being 145 - seriously! Embrace it. Studies have shown that constantly fluctuating weights is worse for you than being overweight. Stop fighting your body for a while and see what happens!

Yeah, I was wondering what OP meant by that. Tall=more room for weight without noticing it.

Weight fluctuations are normal. What matters is the trend over time. You might also naturally be better at maintaining 140 given your lifestyle and may need to evaluate how much those 3 lbs are worth to you. Do you want to give up X, Y and Z to lose them ?

You don’t need to be deprived. Are you counting your calories? If you put yourself in a reasonable deficit you should be able to fit a dessert almost daily. That said 137 is pretty low if you are tall and it might be indeed hard to sustain without tracking.

If you're tall, 3 lbs actually matters a lot less than if you're short.

I am in the same boat except I know the reason for my situation. Poor choices.

I don’t have an answer for you but am in a similar situation. at a higher weight. Lost 95 pounds over the course of 18 months and have spent almost two months yoyoing over these last 5 pounds. I think for me part of it is situational (birthdays and holidays keep coming up) and maybe part is psychological (it’s been a long journey) but man I would love to power through and be done. Is my body trying to tell me this is a good weight for me? (I’m 5 7 currently 163 lbs with a goal weight of 155. I’ve been down to 159 but yo-yo back up.)

Good luck, I will be following!

Definitely could be your cycle, or water retention/bloating.

I got down to 140 last summer but 137 is my ultimate goal. Then I gained back 5 pounds to 145. I lost the 5 pounds over the past month and want to keep going until I get to 137.
