OP here. She’s very relationship-driven, so I wonder if this would actually help her. She doesn’t like to let people down. Her current MS does not have group projects that need to be worked on outside of school.

CAP is a ton of group work, like Eastern, and that can be hard on a last-minute kid. Their classmates get frustrated, put pressure on her, etc.

We heard VAC is great for kids interested in digital art. If she's already considering art school that's the place that will get her the best background and portfolio.

Throw in the long bus ride for CAP and I think it should be an easy decision.

Congratulations PP.

Thanks! She’s super excited about her options.

There’s no school bus for Einstein, so she’d have to use public transportation. I think that’s actually one of the things she’s worried about with VAC.

DD is bright and super creative, but struggles with organization and completing homework on time. With projects of her own choosing, she can create lists and charts and multi-week plans to implement, but she’s the kid turning in 5 homework assignments at midnight on the last day of the marking period.

She was invited to both CAP and VAC and is interested in both. She’s considering art school for college, but is also potentially interested in computer animation, programming, and video production.

Will CAP just be frustrating? Is the workload enormous? I worry about 8 periods plus a long bus ride.
