Anywhere from $10-$30. It depends. I aim for $20. And no it’s not hard to find lots of options in that price range.

For the last party DD went to, she told me her friend was really into American Girl doll stuff, so I let her pick out three outfits for them at Target. It was over $40 with tax. But we made a little kid very happy. To me, that's worth $40 on her birthday.

About $20 if it's one child going to a party for one child. We've also been invited to a party for two siblings so I would spend more on a joint gift.

My kids are the same gender and close in age and they have a few mutual friends who are only children. I would spend more on those kids as they tend to get each of mine a gift.

Depends on the kid and how well we know them. If you know a kid well, sometimes you can spend $15-20 and get something meaningful and appreciated.

If I don’t know a kid well, I often get art supplies or a board game. Easy to use or re-gift.

Thankfully in 3rd grade we are seeing more parties that are 5-12 kids. That means fewer parties and a better chance that we know the kid well enough to make the gift personal. For a close friend I will spend $30 now that we go to fewer parties.

Thankfully a lot of whole class parties are also “no gift” lately.
We bring a card and I keep $10 gift certificates to the neighborhood ice cream shop and packs of Pokémon cards to slip in the envelope if it seems like everyone else brought a gift despite the instructions.

I usually spend about $30. We usually get something small around $5 like a squishmallow , then I’ll get a $25 gift card to Target or Amazon to put inside the bag with it. This is just my third grader’s preference because she doesn’t like bringing just a card to the party even though it has a gift card inside. My older daughter doesn’t care and will usually just take the $25 gift card to her parties. If it’s someone my kids are really friends with we do a little more.

I usually do a $25 gift card to target or a $15-20 gift. I have two kids and we go to 50+ kid parties a year so it adds up really fast.

When the invitation comes from school and you don't really know the family? People used to say $20 but you can't get much for that anymore.
