It's perfectly normal to be worried and anxious especially when someone tells you that they think you are doing something wrong. Trust your instinct as a momma. You know what is best for your baby. You've got this. 20 seconds for a photo should be fine.

You are fine. I say this as someone who went throw it: I would consider reaching out to a therapist or your provider. It’s normal to have some anxiety, but this might be a bit excessive. Medication helped me tremendously.

One time for 20 seconds will not permanently damage baby. They’re fine. Breathe.

Aww it’s fine just once and no harm was done. but as pp said - good rule of thumb is don’t prop babies into positions they can’t get into. Better for their development over time.

OP here. Thank you all. No, I am not the poster about the camera flash. I don't know what you're talking about.
I am worried about the spine based on the PP's comment. Will my baby be okay? I am going to stop doing it.

You did not damage your baby’s spine by propping them up for a few seconds.
Are you the same poster that was asking if the camera flash was bad for your baby?

I'll dissent.
It is not good for the baby, spine specifically.
Lots of pediatric PTs will tell you this (follow them on IG or Tik Tok)
You did not harm your baby, but I wouldn't do it again. Tummy time photos are your best friend right now.

This. Minimal danger but definitely no harm unless baby falls off the couch.

I sent photos of my three week old sitting up on a couch just for a few seconds. I also did it today. My dad immediately told me that this is not safe. I did not know as this is my first. Is the baby ok? Did I damage their spine? Now I am superparioid. I don't have a doctors appointment for another couple of weeks. Please let me know.
