Yes. One of the best autobiographies I've read.

I enjoyed Katie Couric's even though I'm not a particular fan.

Juliane Marguiles Sunshine Girl is good - especially if you liked her in any of her shows (I'm a Good Wife fan).

Jennifer Grey's recent one was entertaining too.

Also liked Demi Moore's.

Bully Market about a managing director at Goldman Sachs was really good - just finished that one.

I read Charmian Carr’s autobiography, “Forever Liesl” years ago and remember loving it. She talks a ton about the filming for “The Sound of Music” and her relationships with the others in the cast. It was was of my favorite movies and I enjoyed learned about the background. She went on to be an interior designer and sort of “Hollywood adjacent” and had lots of fun anecdotes about Hollywood in the 60s-90s.

Viola Davis’s is great, highly recommend. Really stays with you.

Jessica Simpson’s is also entertaining, although like PPs on the other Jessica Simpson thread, I don’t think she was completely honest in that book. I read both as audiobooks, narrated by them, and I would recommend that.

For an older one, I remember liking Knock Wood by Candice Bergen. Such a unique life.

I have to agree w/you on this one PP.
This memoir was an excellent read.
So was Corey Feldman’s.
And Micky Rooney’s.

But the OP said Female writers so I digress.
Lol. 🤭

I love old Hollywood so of course, I thoroughly enjoyed reading not only Lana Turner’s bio but also the one written by her only child Cheryl Crane.
Ditto for Bette Davis’s only daughter’s “tell-all.”
Of course, Mommie Dearest is the best of all of these.

I just finished "Getting Smarter" by Barbara Feldon, which I adored...so good. Can y'all recommend other good memoirs by women? I'm not as interested in political memoirs, like Michelle, Hilary, etc.
