Echo what the others have said. It's a fantastic school. Its rural location in the South holds it back from being as popular and prestigious as it should be given its academic rigor and quality of education. It's at least as good as the lower NESCAC colleges.

Friend from grad school is a professor there. An excellent teacher (he won teaching awards in grad school) and thinker, very engaged in the college community. Just adding that to give a shout-out to the quality of education there.

I've heard so many good things about Sewanee. I wish my kids would consider a rural school.
