Exactly this. It isn't rocket science. Put the bad guys behind bars and keep them there. Of course there is no magic bullet. But allowing rampant criminality, whether carrying guns or fare evasion, just encourage more of the same.

Stop dissing DC, it's a fabulous place to live, everyone wants to be there, everyone! See what voting Democrat does to a city, these are not your mamma and daddy's Democrats, try to remember that in the future.

Welp. We are gonna have to wait until at least 2026 to turn this ship around. That is the earliest Charles Allen, Brianne Nadeau, and the Pro-Crime gang can be voted out of office. Until then we will be living in a city where the lives of decent, hard-working people of all races, ethnicities, and ages are not worth as much as the lives of criminals.

Vote for Republican or centrist council members. There are a few running every time. Elect some! A Republican in DC local govt. would be a democrat anywhere else except San Francisco.
