Yes and no. Blair does not have set a sides for local kids, but if you meet the criteria you can take magnet classes without being in the program. Poolesville sells itself as an all-school magnet. Richard Montgomery let's any 11th or 12th grader access the IB curriculum regardless of whether they are in the magnet. So, none of them have exactly the kind of neighborhood set aside that Takoma Park MS and Roberto Clemente have, but each has a little bit of a bonus that local kids can access.

Blair SMAC I believe no.
RM Students who are at the school can take IB magnet classes and I think they can get the degree if they want to take the tests so it's basically like being in the magnet.

Poolesville used to set seats aside for local kids but stopped that practice years ago (5 I think.)

piggy backing off the middle school magnet discussion, where I learned that TPMS gets some magnets seats set aside (and perhaps the other 3 magnets do this too), I'm wondering if those advantages are conferred at the high school level as well ?

Specifically, do these various schools (Blair, RM, Poolesville) set aside x number of seats for their local students? And if so, what is that number?

TIA.
