Notice the trend was there for Fall 2021 as well. Admit rate went from 51% to 40% to 34%.
I suspect it has to do with Covid and test-optional admissions. No one knows whether this trend will continue, but it's not just UMD, people. It would make sense that most colleges that have gone test-optional have received more applications, and their admit rate has therefore decreased.
My senior is already in to UMD Honors - he submitted all test scores, including AP exams. I suspect that the only way to see your way through these admit rates is to NOT go test-optional.
