I don't use Calibrate. I live in NOVA and researched local board certified obesity specialists and landed at NOVA Physician Wellness https://www.novaphysicianwellness.com/?utm_source=gmb_auth. I went to the Tysons location but they have multiple offices. There are two docs who are board certified obesity specialists and a group of registered dietitians who work with them. First you get your weight and other body stats measured by a body composition InBody machine. Then you meet with the doc. Then you see a registered dietitian. They put you on a meal plan (mine is 1200 cal, high protein, low carb but includes veggies, dairy, fruit, and healthy fats) based on your BMR. It uses real food which is what I wanted--no shakes, bars, etc. although they have them if you want them. The doc didn't even bring up meds--I asked for Wegovy. He gave me a free one-month starter pack of the 0.25 dose (provided by the manufacturer) and also called in a prescription for me. After the 1st two weeks my blood pressure had come down and he took me off one of my bp pills. The dietitians give you tips to make sure you are getting in all the categories of food, like protein. They are concerned about you losing too much muscle along with weight, which they can see from the results of the InBody machine. I like that there are no gimmicks or very low daily calorie limits. You can lose weight without the drugs on this diet, but I like that I can get a prescription for one if I want it. I filled the prescription at Wegmans. Normally patients go every 2 weeks, but I'm not sure for how long. LMK if you have other questions.
Funny, I just went to my second appointment with NPWC and they called in my prescription, but didn't offer me any starter pack. Kind of put off hearing that some people get special treatment like that.

I’m obese and my PCP started me on Mounjaro. I’ve lost almost 40 pounds in 4 months.
I belong to several support groups and people have used telehealth services such as Alpha, Push and PlushCare. Lots are complaining about JoinMochi for being too busy.

Why don’t you go to your PCP? Most reasonable ones will prescribe this if it’s medically indicated. Of course, if you’re just trying to lose 10 pounds, you shouldn’t be on these drugs anyway.

Are you having any success in the meanwhile? I just signed up and had my first doc appointment today. I've lost a few pounds following their diet, while I waited for that appointment; no meds yet but I'm supposed to go on metformin soon.

Through your primary care physician. People who use junk services like Calibrate are the ones who don't actually need obesity drugs. You can lose 25lbs the old fashioned weight. People who need to lose 75lbs are the ones who need obesity drugs. If you have a good primary care physician and you need to lose the weight, then your insurance will approve it.

Just a PSA for anyone considering Calibrate:
I started Calibrate last August and I’m not too pleased with this program. The biggest issue is that if you have any questions about your medication or administrative issues with your insurance, you have to submit your question through a support channel. This is basically a black hole where you type in your question and they say they will get back to you in 3-5 days. You can’t submit a follow up question, or your original question gets bumped back to the end of the queue so you have to wait another 3-5 days to get a response. I called a phone number they gave me in one of their automated responses, and it directed me to an email address.
My insurance changed at the beginning of this year and they haven’t been able to process this change. I’ve been without the medication for a month now. I know that people say to use what you’re learning from the program to continue with the diet, but if I was going to do this without meds, I would never have joined Calibrate.
If I could do it over again, I would pick a different way to access the medication. For $1500/year, you should be able to speak to someone, especially since this concerns medication.
