A solo practitioner will likely be around $2-3k while a firm-based lawyer will likely be more like $6k.

Cost please? TIA

Agree with recommendation for Debby Cochran. She did all of our estate planning. Without knowing your details you will likely be looking at $6k range.

Why don’t you just make some calls to law offices, including this one? Whatever someone says here about cost is not binding and may not be reflective of your needs.

Just stop. All I asked is what it cost them.

They were great to work with when we had to make changes due to my Mom’s dementia. And now they have both passed and have been a great help to me as I wade through everything.
But not cheap!

DP. Can you give me a cost range please. I just got a quote of $6500 —I own a small business and want a revocable trust etc.

Don’t use a sibling who’s specialty is not estate planning.

Yes, be careful with “affordable.” My relative went to a lawyer for a will and it only cost $200. Let’s just say, you get what you pay for.

Any suggestions for good ones?

My parents are looking for an estate attorney. They tried asking their friends but none of them have one! Any ideas on how to find a great, but affordable, estate attorney in Virginia?
