Please explain eggsactly how the companies are “gouging”? The price of feed is up. The decimation of flocks due to avian flu. The price of diesel is up. The demand is high created by all this panic buying and simple economics means supply low and d land high, prices go up.

Then someone ignorant about profit margins will go on and on about record profits and call it gouging.

Next big cooking holiday coming up is Passover/Easter. My KFP shop for the week is usually around $600. With regular inflation I’m budgeting $800. I normally buy 8 dozen eggs for the week. I’m going to have to budget $100 just for eggs.

Wegmans is stupidly expensive for everything. What did you expect?

I paid $9.99 for 1 dz. organic - in CA

When you do the math, it's still the best deal in town for a single food that gives you the most complete nutrition profile one could ask for.

$5 at Aldi's.

Those are the organic pasture raised, a dozen organics eggs are around $5 at wegmans or TJs.
