My second grader is 60lbs and will sometimes buy 2 lunches. The portions are small.

Very few kindergartners finish lunch, it’s too big for them.

I wish they had different size options. It would be nice to not bring sometimes or have to think about packing lunch. My 185 lb high schooler gets that same portion and never buys lunch since he would have to eat 4 of them.

Even the adults get the same sized portions as the students.

They have to get the whole thing. Milk, main meal, fruit and vegetable. If they brought their lunch, they can buy milk individually.

I'm not sure what your standards are. They used to be fine, ranging up to good. They really haven't gotten back to 2019 level.

They are probably dealing with supply chain issues, just like the grocery stores are. And they are dealing with inflation. I doubt that their budget has gone up and all the staple foods are now more expensive.

And my child is fine eating them so we let him. If you are not happy with the quality, then pack your child's lunch.

DS likes them so he buys 2-3 times a week. When he doesn’t like the options, we make a lunch. Easy solution.
