Because in some places there just isn’t anymore available space to widen it. It’s all been used already. MoCo is full of stretches of beltway where there just isn’t any additional room for more lanes. In one spot on the outer loop west of Connecticut Ave rock creek has a bend that already brings the shoreline within 20 feet of the right lane. On the inner loop side near the the temple, there’s a rock hillside almost right up to the roadway. Widening only works if there’s space available.

The train is a life saver for mental health. There are enough drivers out there that are just bonkers. It really makes it not great for everyone.

We moved from Springfield to north Alexandria and it's been life changing in the reduction of commute time, costs, and stress.

They should start enforcing flaws against using cell phones while driving. Feels like when there is someone driving abnormally slow and clogging up traffic, they’re texting or watching a tv show on their phone.
