Tent is great for reading.

We have the IKEA Cirkustalt play tent for my 3-year old DD and she loves it. She calls it her “castle” and spends a lot of time playing there. It takes up a bit of space but it’s easy to put away or move around.

Tent. My kids didn’t path with the dolls much after age 4-5, but the tents lasted longer.

I agree with PP and would not get a dollhouse. But I also don't think you should get a tent. If she likes creating a private area in the living room then she might just want space in the room where all the action is. A tent in her bedroom is not going to be the same thing and since you are limited on space I would just let her keep creating that space in the living room (and teaching her when she needs to put it away).

I got my 7 DD and my 4 DS sleeping bags for Christmas and they love them. They take them all over the house creating their little "areas." They also like using them during movie nights or when we have guests. Just an idea for a gift that might have multiple uses.

Agree with tent. We love our wooden dollhouse but it sounds like you already have several dollhouses AND she's trying to improvise a tent. Get her a real tent -- much less clutter than more dollhouse furniture and than her building blanket forts in the living room.

Tent. We have one that collapses flat and we stored it behind the couch when not in use. My kids used it for YEARS and finally at ages 7 and 9 have agreed to let it go.

Same. Tent is much more universal and versatile.

Tent in the bedroom.
