My DS is there now - and he's a totally different kid, but also loves it. I have a third kid who is gunning to attend a larger college/university.
All said, very happy with the school, the programs and teachers, and the location.
What kinds of things did/do your DD and DS do on the weekends?

She wants a smaller school with strong environmental science program, research opportunities, close faculty relationships. Final choice seems to be coming down to availability of a specific extracurricular activity and general campus vibe. She has a couple friends at SMCM who really like it.
SMCM has environmental studies, not environmental science (there's a difference, of course). My DD is a sophomore at SMCM and an environmental studies minor.
