I think if you're wealthy with typically developing kids you plan to send to private school, and want to be around other families like that, you'll like NCRC.

I think this is true for a lot of preschools. They don't want to deal with it.

My kids went to NCRC as typical developing children, but through the years there have been a few kids with severe disabilities (unable to walk, eat, talk, etc.)

It does a disservice to those children when they head to K. The parent population is hit or miss. The school pushes private school on every family and touts their "outplacement program". It's a bit much. By the time my child went all the way through NCRC, my experience went from I LOVE this place to it's okay. I think there are other preschools that are just as good if not better than NCRC. Oh and if you are a financial aid family, you are treated differently than full pay by HOS and the other administrator and counselor. Full pay families rule the board and the school. They have special parties and fundraisers that financial aid families do not get invited to.

This is absolutely not true. We have been at the school with 2 kids for many years. We also got some FA at some point because our salaries took a dive. You are NOT treated differently at all. The years we were on FA were our second and third and my eldest got into one of the best private elementary schools there is. I have no experience with other preschools so I can’t compare. It’s true that it is not an academic program. My kids left their final year (PK) knowing the letters and numbers, but that’s it. They learned everything in K without any issues. The school was phenomenal for my kids.

Agreed, that seems to be the case at most of the better preschools in the area. Entry year is the easiest to get accepted and later years often just a few spots.

just be aware that the admissions process can be tough if you don't start at the youngest age. we applied last year for the 3 year old program and were rejected; heard through the grapevine from friends with kids there that all the spots for that age went to siblings.

Its the best preschool there is, IMHO (my kids went to two others as well) Take whatever they offer you! My kids were also siblings and got pm slots. We made it work and I was never sorry. (They napped in the car) I don't know much about aid, except that the school always made lots of $$ at annual auction and gave all of it to families

My child was admitted to the early learning program about 4 years ago. Note, we applied for the half-day morning program and we were accepted into the afternoon program. The morning slotstend to go to siblings. I'm sorry I don't have financial aid experience
