OP here--it's been a variety of herbal teas. All have the same effect. The only one that produces a milder effect is Oolong. But it just seems weird that drinking a lemon ginger tea makes me feel parched.

It might be the kind of tea you’re drinking. Regular black tea is very hydrating.

Maybe you are making it too strong? How many teaspoons are you putting into the pot? Are you using hot enough water?

I love drinking teas but I always feel so thirsty afterwards. I have tried a variety of teas and seem to always get super thirsty after. Is it the types of tea I drink? Are some teas more hydrating/thirst quenching than others? I want to drink hot tea that is refreshing/hyrdrating etc.
