Exactly. This moron also probably thinks you’ll die if you drink six beers in one night. I can’t imagine the kind of sheltered existence this person leads. Sounds like watching paint dry for an entire lifetime.

What is your budget?

If you can afford the Peloton, I would still get it. You can use the just run/just walk feature. I LOVE mine and love the sleep look and big screen.

I love my Landice. Not compact but no frills and built like a tank. It will convey with my house.

It’s difficult to beat the peloton tread, even the new one. I have the old tread+ and it’s the best piece of training equipment I have. I’d just get the peloton one and call it a day. I still do classes every once in awhile but most really like the interface for inclining and speed adjustment. Way better than anything other than a woodway and those are super expensive.

True Fitness treadmills have been recommended a lot here.

I am a fan of the Peloton tread. If you think you found a dupe, you are fooling yourself -- maybe you found a decent piece of equipment only. The fact is that the Peloton classes + the machine itself are an unbeatable combo.

well it's not very compact because it is actually slightly longer than the Peloton tread, but Horizon makes a good comparable tread. The 7.0 or 7.4 models. Most ppl on the Peloton fb groups I'm part of that are looking for a good Peloton dupe go with Horizon or Sole.

Does something like this exist??

Good, comfortable, quality treadmills are expensive. Often more expensive than the tread. Woodways are no thrills, but very expensive.
