Many schools have a policy against this. Understandable!

OP I get that school food isn’t great. But if your kid wants hot food pack it in a preheated thermos. My kid had chicken parm in a Thermos for school lunch today. She had a hot lunch like this about twice a week.

OMG have you ever ordered Door Dash?! The food is rarely hot and it surely would not be delivered during your snowflake’s lunchtime, 🤣

Parents can bring it. The problem is kids were meeting door dash people at random doors and that’s unsafe. So they need to stop it completely.

NP — just curious why parents aren’t allowed in? At our ES parents can volunteer for lunch duty to give the teachers a break. And they’re allowed to bring food and eat with their child if it’s a special day like their birthday. Parents of course have to sign in at the office and scan their license before getting a visitor sticker that is printed out with their name and photo on it.

This sounds like a great business opportunity but it would bankrupt fcps food services so they're going to squash it

This question is cuckoo.

No. They specifically forbid it.

Who do you expect to buzz in all of the drivers, receive all of the deliveries and get them to the students?

Moms bring chipotle to our kid’s middle school.

No. Super unsafe to have a ton of strangers in the building. Just as unsafe to have a ton of kids running out to the parking lot.

Our school's policy is that any delivered food will be confiscated and held in the front office until the end of the day.

If you don't like school food, pack something you approve of.

You can pack a hot lunch in a thermos.

Why does your kid need a hot lunch?

If you don't like the meal options, pack a healthy lunch. You can even pack something in a Thermos that will stay relatively hot, if your kid is so particular they have to eat hot food at noon.

Not cool. Imagine if 150 kids were all standing at the front doors of the school (fire hazard) waiting for their Door Dash drivers to deliver.

Does you school allow for door dash or lunch deliveries.

We've been disappointed with the schools food and want a hot lunch to be delivered each day.

When I was a child my mom had food delivered but we were in a foreign country
