New to this thread, but OP's kid sounds very similar to mine. He is on grade level in math but struggles with reading comprehension. Not too terribly behind but maybe one grade level below in reading. It would be great if someone could share if Siena would be a good fit or not for that profile - and if not, what are good alternatives.

Can you share where you went?

OP - Siena said that ASD is pretty much disqualifying at Siena.

Siena was phenomenal for reading support but horrible for social emotional. we left and made amazing progress through a private tutor. We went with another private school but even combined with the cost of tutors it was cheaper than Siena. our child is thriving both academically and emotionally in a more nurturing environment.

The VA Siena starts in 3rd. I agree that calling Bekah Atkinson will help you determine if Siena is the right school.

If child has very low processing speed and poor working memory presenting as inattentive ADHD or almost HFA but with no behaviors but with language issues such as difficulty with inferencing/reading comprehension and visual spatial issues causing difficulty with drawing and writing fluidly - would this school be a good fit?
