How are the sequels, are they the same set up and characters in a new situation?

I have read the first two - I liked them. I plan to read the 3rd when it’s released soon.

I enjoyed the first one, but I thought the sequel/sequels (were there 2?) were not good. They seemed rushed and not nearly as well written.

We read it in my book club and all enjoyed it. I liked it more than I thought I was going to.

I will definitely check them out — thanks for the recommendation! Love historical (20th century) fiction set in other countries.

Has anybody else read this book? I download it on the Libby app and thoroughly enjoyed it. Immediately download at the sequel as well to listen to. 😀 and I really enjoyed the Secret Keeper of Jaipur as well. I don't know anybody who's read this book, so I just wanted to throw it out there and see if anybody else is Reddit and if you had any thoughts about it. I don't know how realistic the portrayal was of women in India in the late 50s and 60s.
